Joy Heavlow

Joy Heavlow, the Owner of TRAIN-U LLC, is a strong, empowered, knowledgeable, and driven woman with top notch experience in the world of Occupational Safety and Health Solutions.

Passion, is the key element that drives Joy and her business. To do anything, you must first Learn It. Then you start to Love It. Most importantly, you must Live It. Where does this come from? Well, the short story is this... Joy's own life was saved back in her early years as a safety professional. After a horrific car accident, a good Samaritan made the call to 9-1-1, started CPR and the rest is history.

Joy is constantly growing her knowledge and skill by attending safety courses through her affiliated OSHA Training & Education Institutes, American Society of Safety Professionals, American Heart Association, Chesapeake Regional Safety Council, and more! Joy recently, in 2024 went back to college! She is attending Columbia Southern University, a top rated online university. Once completed, she will have her degree in Occupational Safety and Health.

Joy has 20 years of experience and professionalism behind her in the industry of safety consultation and workplace training. She knows how to pay attention to detail, record findings and assist in helping business and leaders find the solution.
All with a smile and a positive attitude.
Joy made her dream of owning her own business a reality in 2022! Prior to this decision to go out on her own, Joy worked in the corporate world, where she spent 15 years as a top Safety Consultant, Instructor, Training Supervisor, Internal Partner Developer, and Regional Training Manager. After that, she slowed her life down, working for a small mom-n-pop Safety Supply Store helping every hard working American that walked into the store. Joy also spent time working as a Safety Specialist for Amazon Logistics.

Now, Joy's life consists of a wonderful family, a "One Day at a Time" mindset, successful business and a sense of balance she never knew existed. This past year, October of 2023, Joy had the absolute pleasure of marrying her now wife, who supports her dreams and is a true one and only Partner. Joy was blessed to be added to her new family as a Bonus Mom and is enjoying every moment of her life!
